A New Perspective on the Holiday Season

A message from the Divine Ones through Debbie Brickell

So many toil during this time of the year. For many project inward feelings of not-enoughness onto the season. These inward feelings of inadequacy tend to push people into over-doing and over-buying, or on the other side of the coin it can manifest as feelings of overwhelment, depression or a general sense of “why bother”. We can understand this, as we know that many of you continue to be exposed to inner and outer messages that you are not enough as you are, that you must add something to yourself to be acceptable in this world.

We would like to add our voices to this message and to encourage you to perhaps look at yourselves and the holiday season through a new pair of glasses. We would love to encourage you to focus on the truth that you are enough. You are always enough. You do not need to add anything to yourself to be acceptable. You may wish to change and to grow because doing so would enhance your earthly experience, but it is not required that you do anything more to be accepted here. You are already magnificent… We see it and we encourage you to begin to look for it within yourselves and each other.

We also wish for you to see and experience the magnificence and perfection of what you call your Holiday Season. In the American culture there is a divine flow of Holiday celebrations that, when celebrated in love, really reflect the perfection of Universal flow.

Starting with Thanksgiving, the gateway into the Holiday Season, there is a beautiful opportunity to seep in gratitude and appreciation. Thanksgiving, coming at the end of the calendar year, is perfectly positioned as a time to reflect on the amazing things that have taken place for you over the past year. It is a perfect time to:

• Reflect upon your journey thus far and to cultivate appreciation for yourself, and all that you have created, walked through, overcome, learned, shared, released and gained.

• Appreciate all of those who have shown up as your teachers, students, guides, friends and earth angels.

• Appreciate the abundance that has graced your experience this year, providing you with the food, clothing, shelter and experiences that have held you up as the year has progressed.

Gratitude and appreciation turn less into more and when gratitude and appreciation are practiced regularly, the normal outgrowth is an inward desire to share and to give. When you feel filled up, it is easy to share. So the next beautiful piece in this magnificent procession of holidays is the Christmas Season, and the Hanukah Season, the season of giving we would say. So if one is willing to let go of the frantic pace of holiday shopping, cooking, cleaning, preparing and so forth, and just get quiet and listen inside, there will emerge an authentic feeling of wanting to give. It may come forth as a giving of gifts, or it may come forth as the giving of love and emotional support. Giving from this place of authentic desire feels luscious. It is giving from the overflow.

And then, once one has given all that one has to give, there is an authentic opening that occurs, an opening for more, new and exciting things beckon to come forth. So New Years comes along at the perfect time for the planting of new desires and intentions for the year to come— a time of celebration with eager anticipation of what is to come. We say this is a magnificent way to end the year, especially this year which has brought about so many life altering changes for so many of you. We wish to acknowledge all of you for all you have become, all you have created, and all that you are continuing to inspire in your own lives and the lives of many. It has been a magnificent year.

We stand with you in this ever-expanding time in the evolution of human consciousness bringing you comfort and clarity as you move forward with ease and grace.

Thank you for taking the time to hear our words. We love and appreciate you.

The Divine Ones
